May City Bowl

Pro Shop

May City Pro Shop is the only IBPSIA Certified Pro Shop in Iowa. (International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association) What does this mean to you? It means that we continually seek and are provided with the latest education and information in bowling technology, coaching and fitting you the way your hand wants to be fitted. IBPSIA Certified technicians are required to complete continuing education credits just as you would expect from professionals in other fields. Being IBPSIA certified ensures that you will not be charged extra to do the right thing and drill your equipment based on your bowling fingerprint. Doing the right thing is our passion. We know you cannot out bowl a bad fit, so we will not stop until your fit feels perfect.

Our pro shop manager, Andy Diercks is also a USBC Silver Coach and is currently in the USBC Gold candidacy process. May City Pro Shop is mentored and endorsed by Ron Hoppe who is a USBC Gold level coach and is a founding member of IBPSIA. Andy has also coached all over the United States with Ron Hoppe, and professional bowling stars Jason Belmonte and Diandra Asbaty. He also coaches the Linn-Mar High School team and the Mount Mercy University bowlers.

We offer a full service pro shop including private and group coaching lessons. Many times the right decision is not to buy new equipment, but to improve your fit and your game so the equipment you already have works better for you. We don’t want to just sell you a bowling ball, we want to earn your business for life.

May City Pro Shop features a Jayhawk Tri-Oval mill drill and oval fitting system ensuring a precise fit for each bowler. We are a Storm VIP and MatchMaker pro shop, Roto Grip All-Star pro shop and a Turbo Xtreme Dealer.
